Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment at the Marble Falls Medical Center in Texas. The unit is a 30-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:5 patient ratio for nurses and a 1:10 ratio for patient care technicians, focused on safe, high-quality care.

The role emphasizes thorough assessments, care plan development, and patient and family collaboration. This position is on nights and includes a $1,500 completion bonus and a $51/hour rate with shift

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience
• A minimum of 1 year's experience in the field of nursing
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
