Job summary

Avera McKennan is seeking a registered nurse to join the Night Shift team at the Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with physicians and the health-care team, and support patients, families, and friends in understanding conditions and self-care actions.

The role requires an active RN license, 1–3 years of clinical experience, and the ability to work the night shift.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care by reviewing physician orders and communicating the care plan to the health team.
• Develop and document nursing care plans, perform interventions, and monitor patient status.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Maintain a safe, infection-controlled environment and document care provided.
