Job summary

Qualifications

• Direct and train nursing staff; work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Graduate of accredited RN program with valid state license.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident care plans and evaluate nursing outcomes.
• Interview and counsel applicants as applicable.
• Lead team conferences to develop individualized care plans; assess and document resident's condition and needs.
• Administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and document outcomes.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Document observations and reactions; report changes to the care team.
• Assist or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
