Job summary

The Mount Carmel East Labor and Delivery unit within Mount Carmel Health System is hiring Registered Nurses for a full-time, 12-hour night shift. You will join a team caring for high-risk and routine obstetric patients, under Ohio licensure guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice as an RN in Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage patient care with delegation.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, using evidence-based practice; assist with assessment, examinations and treatments; perform basic procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications under the provider's direction according to policies and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under the provider's direction.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, diagnoses and disease processes.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately per standards.
• Take responsibility for care provided by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.
