Job summary

AdventHealth in Texas is seeking an experienced RN for neonatal and labor & delivery care during the night shift. The role involves newborn assessments, resuscitation readiness, documentation, and collaboration in the Labor & Delivery suite.

You will support mothers and families, manage perioperative care, and participate in sterilization and safety protocols. The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (RN) with BLS and NRP certifications, and has L&D experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing required.
• Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
• 1+ labor and delivery nursing experience preferred.
• Strong neonatal care skills and ability to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with newborn care during deliveries, providing immediate care and support to newborns.
• Maintain neonatal resuscitation skills and respond to emergencies.
• Assess maternal and newborn patients to identify risks and alert physicians.
• Assist with transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated.
• Accurately identify and document patients and care activities.
• Support obstetrical surgical procedures and intraoperative/post-anesthesia care as needed.
• Perform sterilization and maintain sterile technique for instruments and supplies.
• Provide emotional support to families and guide them to support resources.
