Job summary

Intermountain Health in Brighton, Colorado is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Women's Care/Labor and Delivery team on nights. You will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients and collaborate with physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, and caregivers dedicated to maternal and newborn well-being.

This role emphasizes family-centered care, education for families, and close monitoring of maternal and fetal health.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice with compact Licenses transferable within 60 days of start.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in a critical care or acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients.
• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal health during labor and delivery.
• Recognize and respond to obstetrical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Assist physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team during labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per policies.
• Educate patients and families about childbirth, postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
• Promote family-centered care and positive patient experiences.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with providers, lactation consultants, and other care teams.
• Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.
