Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to provide compassionate, evidence-based patient care around the clock. The role supports the mission to extend God’s care through healing and service, with a focus on safety and family-centered maternity care.

You will educate families, model professional standards, mentor staff, and participate in rounding, literature review, and practice improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX exam.
• Maryland RN license active.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Model professionalism and adherence to ANA standards.
• Use electronic resources to support best practices.
• Develop care plans and monitor patient changes.
• Mentor students and colleagues in patient-centered care.
• Participate in evidence-based practice improvements.
