Hackensack Meridian Health in North Bergen, NJ is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, patient advocacy, and teamwork in a fast-paced maternity setting. This full-time night-shift position requires active NJ RN licensure, BLS/HCP within 60 days, and a BSN pathway in progress or planned within 3 years of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.

Responsabilités

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient care.
