Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Hackensack, NJ area. The role focuses on direct patient care, data collection, and interdisciplinary collaboration within a night-shift setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Degree in Nursing (or diploma) with a plan for BSN within three years, have at least six months of nursing experience, and maintain an NJ RN license with BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
