Job summary

Ashe Memorial Hospital in West Jefferson, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery on the night shift. You will provide skilled care during labor, delivery and immediate recovery, ensuring safety and high‑quality outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact state.
• CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (NRP within 6 months).
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery or related nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well‑being and respond to condition changes.
• Support patients and families through childbirth and recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
