Job summary

Texas Health Denton is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor and Delivery team for full-time night shifts. You will provide direct patient care, assess and plan patient care, and collaborate with OB/ED and NICU staff in a busy Level III unit.

Qualifications include ADN or Nursing Diploma, RN license, BCLS, ACLS, IFM, NRP, NRPA, CPI, and 1 year of RN/L&D experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN license on hire required.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• IFM within 12 months of hire.
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• NRPA within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year experience as a RN or completion of an RN residency program required.
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
