Job summary

PeaceHealth's Labor & Delivery team in Bellingham, WA is seeking a dedicated RN to support mothers, babies, and families across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The full-time, 0.90 FTE night shift role offers a competitive hourly rate and a hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.

As part of a high-acuity team, you will collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal staff, and support caregivers, document care to standards, and contribute to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Minimum of two years of acute care Labor & Delivery nursing experience within the last five years.
• ACLS and NRP required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Provide skilled nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and fellow caregivers.
• Respond confidently to urgent and emergent obstetric situations.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout their birth experience.
• Document patient care in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
• Delegate and coordinate care appropriately with other members of the healthcare team.
• Contribute to a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• All RNs will receive cross-training as needed to provide mother-baby couplet care.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

BSN preferred
