Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Olathe seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery to join the night shift on a full-time basis. The RN uses the nursing process to provide holistic, safe patient care for obstetric patients and their families, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include medication safety, triage, patient education, and leadership within the unit.

Qualifications

High School Graduate
Associate Degree Nursing
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Kansas or compact license
CPR/AED/BLS with renewal within 14 days

Responsibilities

Adheres to hospital policies related to medication safety and administration.
Answers patient and family calls, triages care needs.
Demonstrates critical thinking in the nursing process and patient care planning.
Provides direct nursing care including oncology-related treatments as prescribed.
Maintains patient safety and delivers patient/family education using available resources.
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate health care services.
