Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Labor and Delivery nurse for the South facility in Springfield, MO. The role covers antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, with a focus on family-centered nursing during the birth process.

Eligibility requires MO RN licensure, BLS within 90 days, ACLS and NRP within one year of hire. Night shift, 6:30pm–7:00am, Fridays and Saturdays, with a 3rd shift schedule. Benefits include comprehensive medical options and employer retirement match.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Missouri
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire
• NRP must be obtained within one year of hire
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Previous nursing experience

Responsibilities

• The Labor and Delivery nurse cares for women and neonates during labor and childbirth.
• They assist, support, and educate families throughout the birth process.
• They provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.
• They recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize, communicating with patient, family, and physicians.
