Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital seeks an experienced RN for the Labor and Delivery float pool. The position covers night shifts (7pm–7am) with every third weekend and holiday track, totaling 36 hours weekly.

You will apply nursing processes, document care in the EHR, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes. A BSN is preferred; BLS is required; active RN license in the applicable state is needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adapt care plans; document accurately in EHR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team; delegate as needed.
