Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4th Surgery Med Surg Unit, a 45-bed unit delivering preoperative and postoperative and adult-geriatric medical care. The role requires RN licensure and BSN preferred, with night shift and 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license (multi-state compact and/or single-state) with privileges to practice where services are provided.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes.
