Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a registered nurse to join the night shift. This 36-hour-per-week role runs 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with every other weekend and holiday rotations, and emphasizes family-centered care.

The position requires Ohio RN licensure and a BSN (or an ADN with a commitment to obtain BSN within five years). CPR certification is required, with willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as directed.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed RN in Ohio.
• Current CPR certification; willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses patient needs and communicates care priorities to the care team.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication addressing physical, psychological and social needs of patients and families.
• Engages in workplace quality improvement and reports updates back to staff.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
