Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Short Stay Department on a full-time night shift (7 pm – 7 am). The RN will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering individualized, evidence‑based patient care and upholding Wellstar standards.

Candidates should have an RN license and BLS; ACLS and PALS are preferred where applicable. The role emphasizes leadership in patient safety, collaboration with care providers, and participation in shared governance to support

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in nursing or graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinates care and communicates with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high quality care.
• Serves as preceptor or mentor to staff and students as needed.
• Participates in evidence‑based practice and performance improvement activities.
