Job summary

Virtua Health’s Lourdes Health System is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for the Night Shift to provide bedside nursing care in a busy hospital setting. You will assess needs, plan and implement care, monitor progress, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering therapies, educating patients and families, delegating tasks, and participating in ongoing performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; 0-1 years required, 2-4 preferred.
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• NJ RN License (or applicable state license) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in the performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
