Job summary

Aurora West Allis Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit. This full-time night shift role supports moderately stable patients with elevated instability risk, working 12-hour shifts 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

You will participate in a structured orientation, perform clinical assessments, and deliver coordinated, compassionate care in a collaborative environment. RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational skills through Preceptor directed orientation.
• Develop triaging, lab interpretation, and pharmacology knowledge for intermediate acuity patients.
• Coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Foster collaborative relationships with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide continuity of care through 12-hour shifts and patient-centered care.
