Job summary

Salinas Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the 5M Observation Care Unit in Salinas, CA. The nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care with supervision from the Director.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license and BLS required.
• Twelve months RN experience in acute care preferred.
• pharmacology and EKG test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and document in patient records.
• Develop and implement a care plan based on patient age and needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and health-care team to plan care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
