Job summary

Salinas Valley Health’s Emergency Department seeks an experienced Registered Nurse II to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting in Salinas, California. You will supervise co-workers and collaborate with physicians, patient families and the health care team to deliver an effective plan of care.

Qualifications include an ASN with CA RN license, BLS provider, and at least 12 months of acute care RN experience.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• California RN license required.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider per American Heart Association.
• 12+ months RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Pharmacology and EKG test required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and document in patient records.
• Develop and implement a plan of care with age-appropriate considerations.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team to coordinate care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Act as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
