Job summary

Salinas Valley Health's Labor & Delivery unit seeks a Registered Nurse II to assess, plan, implement and supervise individualized patient care. Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per AHA standards.
• Twelve (12) or more months of RN experience in acute care.
• Must pass Pharmacology and EKG Test if selected.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment and documents in the patient record.
• Develops a plan of care based on assessment and patient needs.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team to implement the plan.
• Provides, delegates, and coordinates the plan of care.
• Initiates discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Acts as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
• Participates in achieving departmental goals.
