Job summary

The Pavilion at Piketon in Piketon, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time and part-time night shifts (7P-7A). You will provide direct nursing care, supervise licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and facility policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating admissions, discharges and transfers, assessing changes in resident status, transcribing orders, administering medications, wound care and IV therapy, and

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of LPN/LVN and CNAs.
• Promotes holistic care following nursing model.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by nursing staff.
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfers of residents.
• Assesses resident status changes and documents them.
• Transcribes orders and carries them out as written.
• Administers medications per physician orders and monitors effects.
• Performs wound care and other skilled nursing tasks as ordered.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and transportation as needed.
• Provides nursing leadership to the unit team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
• Participates in management meetings as needed.
