Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks a dedicated registered nurse to provide patient care in an inpatient setting, delivering nursing care through the nursing process and applying clinical judgment and collaboration with the care team.

You will assess patients, plan and implement care, educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and uphold safety and quality standards while adapting to varying workloads and shifts.

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by WV or multi-state license via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 12 months RN experience.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety and continuity of care using documentation and handoff tools.
• Creates plan of care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnoses, intervention, and evaluation.
• Documents problems and issues in the plan of care.
• Provides education based on patient learning needs.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documentation.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice in nursing care.
• Maintains accountability for delegated nursing care.
• Demonstrates growth in caring for more complex patients with mentorship.
