Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on the night shift. The role requires an active RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and at least one year of nursing experience.

You will collaborate with an interprofessional team, adjust plans of care based on data, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice or eNLC multi-state license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Ability to adhere to hospital policies and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Modify patient care plan based on data and individual needs.
• Use Evidence-Based Practice to provide patient care.
• Delegate within scope of practice.
• Verify the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provide education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promote effective communication among interprofessional team members & healthcare consumers.
• Influence policy to promote safe patient care.
• Utilize appropriate resources in providing care, especially in sensitive situations.
• Incorporate processes to enhance the organizational plan of growth and influence.
• Participate in developing strategies to promote healthy communities and practice environments.
