Job summary

Unity Psychiatric Care in Bridgeport, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical oversight for daily hospital operations and direct patient care in a therapeutic setting. You will implement physician orders, update treatment plans, and supervise nursing staff to meet patient goals.

The role requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience with geriatrics/mental health, RN licensure, CPR, and CPI certifications. Flexible hours and potential overtime are mentioned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Registered Nursing (RN) Degree
• Current State Registered Nursing (RN) License
• Current CPR Certification
• Current CPI Certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the care for each patient on admission and on an ongoing basis in accordance with accepted nursing practice
• Ensures nursing staff develops and keeps current nursing care plans for each patient
• Makes all patient care assignments
• Reviews staffing schedules and adjusts for nurse absenteeism
• IV administration and venipuncture as authorized by state laws
• Educates patients and families about medications and care needs
• Completes comprehensive nursing assessments, treatment, and tests
• Demonstrates development discharge plans and post-hospital care arrangements
• Provides emergency care within safe and appropriate times
