Job summary

Unity Psychiatric Care in Alabama seeks an experienced RN to provide clinical oversight for day-to-day hospital operations, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high-quality patient care for geriatrics with mental health needs. You will follow physician orders, update treatment plans, and coordinate discharge planning.

Travel may be required to support other Unity facilities; current CPR and CPI certifications are expected, along with an RN license.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Registered Nursing (RN) Degree.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferably in geriatrics and/or mental health.
• Current State RN License and CPR Certification; CPI Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical oversight for day-to-day hospital operations.
• Directs patient care, evaluates patients, and ensures nursing plans are up-to-date.
• Completes assessments, initiates treatment plans, and documents care.
• Coordinates discharge planning and post-hospital arrangements.
• Educates patients and families; supervises nursing staff; supports treatment goals.
