Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking Registered Nurses for the General Surgery 3W unit. This part-time night shift role supports a 24-hour weekly schedule on the inpatient unit, not the OR, with both experienced and new graduate opportunities.

The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and up to $5,000 for new graduates, plus Mercy's comprehensive benefits. Missouri RN licensure and BLS are required or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with eligible Missouri RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care on a General Surgery unit.
• Maintains accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates care effectiveness by other direct care givers and coordinates with other departments.
• Protects patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with Mercy standards.
