Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift (7p-7a) in the Med/Surg General Surgery unit. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patients, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families as needed.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure, a nursing program credential, and BLS certification, with BSN preferred and ASN workers encouraged to complete BSN within five years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; ASN must complete BSN within five years.
• Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse

BLS certification

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
