Job summary

Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Texas seeks a Registered Nurse for the General Medicine unit on nights. This fast-paced, 54-bed unit emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and high engagement.

You will perform nursing assessments, coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients, and document in the medical record. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas license, BLS, and 1–10 years of RN experience depending on level (RN I–IV).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Texas license to practice professional nursing (or temporary/compact license).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification requirements may vary by unit and discipline.
• RN levels: RN I–IV based on years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care using the nursing process.
• Conducts nursing assessments and assists with exams and treatments.
• Provides patient education and maintains medical records.
• Supports unit operations with effective documentation and communication.
