Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Night shift in our Medical-Surgical Float Pool. This full-time role provides skilled nursing care, coordinates assessments, plans, and delivery of patient care in accordance with hospital policies.

You will help with admission assessments, care planning, medication administration, safety, professional development, and use of Meditech and Lotus Notes. Float Pool nurses receive an extra $5/hour when working.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred
• RN license/registration required
• ACLS certification required
• Float Pool nurses earn an additional $5/hour when working

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patient needs using the nursing process.
• Develop, discuss and communicate a prioritized plan of care with the team.
• Administer medications following SSH policies and procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and family education.
• Utilize Lotus Notes and Meditech for communication and documentation.
