Albany Med Health System in Albany, NY is seeking a Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool. You will implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and tests, and document care according to policy and regulatory requirements.

You will assess patient needs, interpret diagnostics, provide primary and emergency care, collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care, and mentor ancillary staff to maintain professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills.
• Must hold NYS Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 1–3 years of RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.

Responsabilités

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments and tests, and documents care per policy and regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions.
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
• Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains standards of professional nursing.
