Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Clinical Support Team (Float Pool) in Idaho. This part-time, 12-hour night shift position offers exposure to multiple inpatient specialties across Level II Trauma Center in Boise and Level III in Nampa.

You will provide hands-on nursing care, perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer treatments, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Idaho or multistate RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• Active clinical practice and patient care
• Team collaboration and communication

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care and advocate for patients and families.
• Expand clinical expertise across multiple inpatient specialties.
• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments to guide individualized care.
• Develop and evaluate care plans to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor progress.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and transitions of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers and caregivers to deliver coordinated care.
• Document patient status and plans accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Operate clinical equipment safely and in accordance with standards.
• Practice per Idaho State Board of Nursing requirements.
