Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is hiring a Patient Safety Attendant for our Clinical Support Team (Float Pool). This role provides continuous observation to maintain a safe environment for patients.

The position is part time with a 12-hour night shift from 7pm to 7:30am; hours may vary and include weeknights, weekends or holidays. It supports licensed staff and requires diligent handoffs and clear communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Experience in a hospital or medical discipline is helpful.
• BLS certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visual observation of assigned patient(s) at all times and redirect as appropriate.
• Verbally redirect patients from at-risk behaviors and notify staff as needed.
• Document observations every 15-30 minutes and hand off pertinent information.
• Assist licensed nursing staff and seek help if a patient poses a threat.
