Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse I for the Medical Short-Stay Unit (MSU) at Rochester General Hospital. This part-time, night-shift position awaits a compassionate RN with a NYS license and BLS certification.

The MSU is a fast-paced medical-surgical unit focused on rapid throughput, teamwork, and high-quality patient care. The RN provides direct patient care, documentation, and coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• NYS RN license in New York State is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• At least 6 months RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and uses relevant data.
• Communicates and documents patient assessment with the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilizes available resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Develops and documents an individualized plan of care and services.
• Follows policies on safety, medication administration, and documentation.
• Revises care plan based on evaluations and updates documentation.
• Completes at least one CRU form for Nursing Research use.
