Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient flows and care during night shifts. You will provide developmentally appropriate nursing care, supervise and collaborate with LPNs, PCAs, and other staff while prioritizing safety and quality.

The role requires a BSN (or ASN with commitment to obtain a BSN within 5 years), and RN licensure in Ohio. Strong communication, critical thinking, and commitment to culturally competent care are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN required; ASN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years
• Licensed RN in the state
• Current CPR certification; willing to obtain NRP/PALS/ACLS/APHON as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using a Family Centered approach
• Assess individualized patient needs and priorities
• Communicate care needs to LPNs, PCs, and staff
• Plan and evaluate care using evidence-based practices
• Use therapeutic communication to support patients and families
• Participate in quality improvement activities and meetings
• Document per policies and procedures
