Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-time Professional Staff Nurse to join the Outpatient Emergency Department in Lock Haven. You will work the night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with an every-other-weekend/holiday schedule, and provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Registered nurse licensed in the applicable state or a compact license
BSN preferred
ACLS, PALS, and BLS/CPR certifications required within specified timelines
Ability to work night shift and weekends as assigned
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Build productive relationships with patients and the care team; ensure safety and accountability
Teach patients and families and, when appropriate, serve as a preceptor
Apply the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to plan and deliver holistic care
Participate in department quality improvement and governance to improve patient outcomes
Support care coordination and communicate effectively across disciplines
