Job summary

UPMC Wellsboro is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Emergency Department team for a 36-hour week night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends and holidays. This role includes a $12,500 sign-on bonus for eligible LPNs and involves nursing care, IV therapy, and patient education.

The LPN will work under supervision, participate in plan of care, and contribute to patient safety and care quality in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an LPN program approved by the State Board.
• 2 years of experience required.
• IV therapy curriculum within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN direction and supervise support staff.
• Administer IV therapies and medications per policy.
• Develop daily goals and care plans with patient involvement.
• Educate patients and families to support transitions of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
