Job summary
Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive clinical assessments, develop and coordinate individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced emergency department.
Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, educating patients and families, documenting care, administering treatments, supervising staff, and coordinating discharge planning to ensure safe transitions home or to another facility.
Qualifications
- RN license required and active
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; trauma care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments for patients’ physical, mental, and emotional health.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care among physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists.
- Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment options.
- Document all assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments safely per protocols.
- Supervise nursing and support staff.
- Coordinate discharge planning for smooth transitions.
