Job summary
AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time night shift in Shawnee Mission, KS. The RN will promote and restore patients’ health using evidence-based nursing care, collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, and support patients and families in physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, current RN license, and BLS certification, with acute care experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- BLS certification required.
- RN license in the state where position is located.
- One year of acute care experience preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and evaluate patient needs.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and policies.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and discharge plans.
- Document accurately in the EMR and coordinate with the care team.
