Job summary

AdventHealth South Overland Park in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the medical team to coordinate care.

A nursing associate degree is required, with RN licensure and BLS certification. Experience in acute care is preferred as this role supports a faith-based health system dedicated

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• RN license must be active and in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and outcomes; monitor safety and infection control.
