Corewell Health's Taylor Hospital Emergency Center is an acute care unit providing 24/7 services with magnet recognition. The RN uses the nursing process to plan and deliver patient care, partnering with families to align goals and educate patients throughout their stay.

The role supports Night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), 36 hours per week, with a full-time employment type and benefits in a collaborative environment focused on dignified care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing within 5 years if new graduate or nurse with less than one year experience.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have NCLEX.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire/transfer from approved organizations.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer; TNCC within 1 year; ENPC within 15 months.
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years.
• Prefer RN experience; may consider new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
• Collaborate with patient/family input and goals when planning the care plan.
• Document education and learning in the health record.

Education

Associate or Diploma in Nursing

Bachelor of Nursing within 5 years (for new grads)

NCLEX licensure

MI Registered Nurse (RN)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

ACLS within 6 months

TNCC within 1 year

ENPC within 15 months

Specialty Certification recommended within 2 years

RN experience preferred or new graduates considered
