Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the ICU using the nursing process. The role focuses on patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while guiding patient/family teaching and nursing staff.

Applicants must hold a current RN license, BLS, and ACLS; Critical Care Course and CC RN are preferred. Experience in acute care and a BSN are valued for this temporary night-shift position.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
