Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced RN for a 0.9 CRU Night Shift within the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Nursing Float Pool. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, and requires BLS and an active RN license.

You will deliver high-quality care, document accurately in the EHR, and support safety and quality initiatives during night hours. Responsibilities include using the nursing process to assess and respond to patient needs, collaborating with the care team, and potentially

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with multi-state compact or state license.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• BLS certification is required; additional certifications may be needed by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care with evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and promotes ethical, unbiased patient care.
