Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Nurse Aide for full-time night shift to support registered nurses and provide direct patient care in a hospital setting. The role includes assisting with daily activities, documenting vitals, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include room setup, data entry in EMR, and participation in admission, transfer, and discharge processes. High School diploma or GED/HSED required; BLS certification must be obtained within 45 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Maintain annual education requirements for hospital certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF).
• Good computer skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, mobility).
• Document vital signs and patient data in EMR accurately.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
