Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for night shift at Genesee County Jail in Flint, Michigan. The RN delivers quality care within the scope of practice and acts as a patient advocate while promoting best nursing practices in a correctional setting.

The role requires a nursing degree, current RN license in Michigan, CPR certification, and the ability to supervise other nursing personnel. Experience in correctional health is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Must possess Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or have graduated from an approved RN program.
Must possess a current license as an RN in the state of employment.
CPR certification active and knowledge of state practice acts and regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions and side effects.
Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' condition.
Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Direct or supervise nursing staff and prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
