Job summary

Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections – Corrections Services in Cottonport, LA seeks a Registered Nurse for night shift work in a corrections setting. Requirements include an active RN license (Louisiana or compact) and eligibility for the state personnel system.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license (NLC/eNLC) to practice as a registered nurse.
• Experience in nursing within a correctional or secured facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional nurse duties that may include administration of medications and treatments under supervision.
• Assist in development of nursing plans of care for patients in assigned units.
