Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a Correctional Registered Nurse in Atlanta, GA to care for detainees at Fulton County Jail. The role offers a night shift with a differential up to $5/hour, and training opportunities for new grads within a collaborative team of healthcare professionals and correctional staff.

Responsibilities include health screenings, administering medications, chronic disease management, emergency response, and maintaining confidential patient records in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in Georgia.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA) required.
• Knowledge of nursing practice principles, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments for detainees.
• Monitor and document patient health, vital signs, and histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, and develop care plans.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (asthma, hypertension, diabetes).
• Respond to medical emergencies and arrange transport as needed.
• Educate patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyles.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report relevant information.
