Bayhealth Sussex Campus in Delaware is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night shift in the Sussex Campus Hospital to provide professional nursing care in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities include developing patient-centered plans, administering medications, documenting care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with physicians to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential: Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support; ACLS/PALS may be required per manager's direction.
• Experience: Required: Preferred: Experience in relevant specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting.
• Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of the patient medical record.
• Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans.
• Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes as applicable.
• Read and interpret patient information and make treatment decisions.
• Consult with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions when appropriate.
• Performs nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
• Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
